I have had the distinct pleasure of being Fuse FM's Head of Social Media & Branding for nearly 2 years now.
As Head of Social Media and Branding at Fuse FM, I led a complete rebranding of the station, developing a new brand identity, logo, and brand kit. I devised a new content strategy that transformed our social media platforms into a dynamic, visually engaging platform, featuring story posts with custom graphics and 3D animations scheduled daily with the Meta Business Suite. This part of the content strategy is what I'm most proud of, with our daily show guide and individual show spotlights ensuring each show is being promoted by our platform. By replicating the functionality of a traditional TV guide, we have successfully modernised the way we share our programming information, strengthening our connection with the student body, as well as creating a visually engaging experience that makes it easy for students to discover new shows and connect with their favourite presenters. This innovative approach earned Fuse FM the Silver Award for Best Station Branding at the 2024 Student Radio Association Awards.
Another strategy I was passionate about was implementing short-form content into our socials plan, emulating strategies of professional level stations. Our Reels and TikToks have been able to act as promotional material for one-off episodes or interviews whilst providing engaging and well performing content for our social media platforms. Representing Fuse FM, I have attended numerous festivals, gigs and live events to create content for our social channels such as Beyond The Music, The Royal Horticultural Society Urban Show, The International Brewing & Cider Awards and Night Owl Promotions.This strategy ultimately won the station GOLD for Best Promotional Initiative at the 2025 Student Radio Association Amplify Awards.
My experience with Fuse FM has honed my skills in project management, creative problem-solving, team collaboration, and data analysis, while also providing me with a deep understanding of the role of social media in building a strong brand identity for a radio station.
